Wooden Finials

Due to the versatility of wood it can be used to create anything from beautiful decorative finishes to a simple ball end for a more simplistic look.

Classical shaped finials are usually in wood, brass or wrought iron, due to the fact that they are reproductions from days gone by when these were the only materials available to the village blacksmith or carpenter.

Traditional features on a curtain pole will enhance the curtain treatment and emphasize the look you are trying to achieve. The most traditional styles of wooden and brass finials are classic decorative features such as Balls, Urns or Acorn shapes or, for a wrought iron curtain pole, the Sheppard’s Crook, Scrolls or Fleur de Lys. Classic finials are quite elaborate and, to follow the theme through the entire window treatment, the matching curtain brackets and holdbacks should be used.
