Finials are the decorative additions that fit on the end of the curtain pole. They range from being discreetly subtle to outlandishly ornate. Curtain poles without finials or midials will not have any visual impact and more to the point the curtains would have nothing to stop them pulling off the pole and onto the floor.

The choice of finial will emphasize the style of interior design you are creating with dressing your windows.

Finials and midials are often purchased separately so if you wish to be daring in your design then select something that will bring out some feature of your curtain fabric or indeed to be the main feature of the window design and let the fabric be the secondary effect.
