Curtain Rings & Gliders

Curtain rings and gliders are the means by which the curtains are attached to the curtain pole or track. Curtain rings are used in conjunction with a curtain pole and are colour coordinated to match the pole. They come in as many different variations and colours as the poles themselves. Curtain rings that are used with wooden poles have a tiny eyelet screwed into the curtain ring, enabling the curtains hooks to be attached when hanging the curtains. Metal curtain rings are also manufactured in the same type of metal as the pole but some metal curtain rings are lined with plastic for a quiet smooth glide over the metal pole.

Gliders are designed and manufactured to fit specific tracks and poles. There are many types and styles ranging from roller gliders to silicon impregnated giving a smooth running action. Gliders are normally made from plastic with only a few types made of metal. Curtains are hooked to the glider through an eyelet which is a part of the molded design. Gliders run along the bottom or the back of a channel section of the track, in some cases the hook gliders may clip over the front of the track. These positions may vary depending on design and type of the pole or track.
