Traditional Holdbacks

Curtain holdbacks have been used for generations of window curtain schemes, so ornate brass, metal and to a lesser degree wooden holdbacks have been gracing our more elaborate drawing rooms and bedrooms. These traditional holdbacks were and still are usually used in conjunction with an elaborate pole with more formal curtain styles such as pinch pleat or goblet heading curtains.

Traditional curtain poles are very often in brass and would have been used as a decorative curtain accessory for dressing curtains on a grand scale with elegant pelmets or formal curtain headings. The same applies today and will give your window curtain dressing that final flourish.
