What is a Double Curtain Pole?

A double curtain pole usually consists of two lengths of curtain pole parallel to each other supported by two or three double brackets. The two parallel poles are equally spaced apart, allowing two pairs of curtains to open and close independently. Usually the front pole has a thicker diameter for supporting the main set of curtains, whilst the back pole is thinner for light weight curtains and voiles.
