Extra Long Metal & Wooden Poles

When an extra long pole is require there are three different ways this can be achieved.

• Joining long single pole lengths
• One piece poles without center brackets
• Made to Measure

Choose an extra long pre-packed curtain pole, which are supplied in lengths up to 400 cm. These poles are in two equal half's which are joined in the middle, with two outer brackets and a center supporting bracket. Not all ranges come in extra long lengths so alternatively buy two in single lengths and join them together. For example achieving a 400cm poles, two 200cm poles can be joined supported with a center bracket. Please note, take curtain weight into consideration and choose a pole with a diameter with 35mm or more to prevent it bowing when curtains drawn.

Single Length Poles

When an extra long wooden pole is required in a single length, choose one without a center bracket. This type of pole used when a single curtain is required to pull the entire length, generally the maximum single length a wooden pre-packed pole is 200cm.Metal poles with wooden effect finishes such as the Silent Gliss Metropole have gliders allowing them to run the entire length. Multiple brackets can be fixed to support long lengths without obstructing the function of the curtain; maximum single lengths are available up to 600cm.

Extra long, made to measure poles can be ordered, and come in single lengths of 300cm and can be joined to create a 600cm pole with a supporting bracket. Generally he longer the pole the larger diameter is required to prevent it bowing over large spans.
