Eyelet curtain poles

Eyelet curtain poles have become increasingly popular throughout the UK over the past few years; the chic simplistic design is better suited to bedrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms with contemporary styled interiors.

What is an Eyelet Curtain?

Eyelet curtains have no heading tape stitched into the back of the curtain fabric, so they have no use for curtain hooks or curtain rings. Instead, the curtains have holes with eyelets stamped in the fabric, which are equally spaced across the top of the curtain. When the pole is passed through the eyelets, it creates a nice ‘S’ shape wave across the entire curtain. This keeps a uniform wave design throughout, whether the curtains are open or closed.

Please note - Eyelet curtains can not pass over any type of bracket, making a pair of curtains completely unsuitable for all types of bay windows.

Choosing the Right Pole

You need not necessarily purchase eyelet poles for your eyelet curtains, as the only difference between the two is the eyelet poles are sold with no curtain rings.

First ensure the correct pole diameter is chosen for the size of the eyelets in your curtains, also taking into consideration the colour of your eyelet rings. You may wish to match up or contrast between the pole and eyelets.

  • Smooth gliding action through the eyelets
  • Neat and compact curtain stacking
  • Uniform ‘S’ shape wave when the curtains are closed
  • Ideal for small window spaces
  • No need for heading tape and curtain rings
  • Contemporary window design
