Portiere Rods are designed to reduce drafts by hanging a curtain to floor level over an existing door. Simply fix the long bracket to the door, and the shorter bracket to the door jamb (the door frame surround) , when the door is opened the Portiere Rod slightly pivots and raises the curtain allowing the door to open without the curtain catching and dragging under the door. The Regency Portiere Rod is available in white, black, bronze and brass plated. Each rod is supplied with all the necessary fittings including brackets and 10 rings (extra rings are available to order) and the Regency Portiere rods have an overall length of 106cm.
