Extra Long Metal & Plastic Tracks

There are various types of extra long metal poles available.

Some pre-packed traditional or contemporary metal poles are available with maximum lengths of up to 360cm. Supplied in two equal lengths with one center bracket, two outer brackets and coordinating finials.

It is also possible to join two single long lengths of pole together. When joining poles please take into account the curtain weight as poles may bow under load, we advise to purchasing a larger diameter pole such as 28mm or greater giving more strength over wide spans. Center joiners, extra supporting brackets and rings can be purchased in the accessories section or associated products.

Extra long made to measure poles and tracks with gliders, benefit over rings, as gliders do not fowl on brackets making it possible to have as many supporting brackets as required enabling the use of heavy weight curtains. These types of metal poles and tracks can have a pull cord systems making extra wide windows easy to operate.

Telescopic Curtain Poles

Metal telescopic poles and tracks suit extra wide windows, such as the Integra golden glide spanning up to 610cm or the Integra Ultra glide extending up to 550cm both with multiple supporting brackets.

When ordering a one piece extra long length of pole, remember the logistics of getting it into the specific room, for example in lifts, around corners and up stairs.

Plastic tracks are Idea for long runs, as the plastic gliders are not affected by the brackets. The amount of brackets are determined only by the curtain weight, length of the track and wall fixing, generally brackets are spaced every 30cm for long lengths and heavy curtains.

Lengths of track can be joined together with center joiners with extra supporting brackets either side. Plastic corded track can not be joined, to create one continuous long track as the cording mechanism is separately corded per track. Do not exceed the recommended weight of the specific track.
