Valance track is available in white plastic or metal. It can be fitted above most curtain tracks or comes as an integral part of the curtain track. It can be easily bent by hand, so the end of the track can return to the wall, snugly hiding the entire curtain track mechanism. The Valance track can be corded for straight runs only and usually comes pre-assembled to ensure all of the necessary components are included.

Curtain valances are made from curtain fabric, usually with a decorative heading attached by hooks to the valance track. Valances are often shaped and edged with a decorative curtain fringe, which looks particularly attractive when accompanied with matching tassel tie-backs. Curtain valances can also transform a plain roller blind into a creative window treatment, particularly suitable in a country living décor.
