They are particularly well suited to awkward bay windows, where multiple bending, reverse bends and constant curves are required; including straight run poles cut to your exact length specifications. They benefit over a normal pole which would be joined and have supporting brackets around the bay, resulting in curtains being trapped between brackets and more than one pair of curtains to achieve covering your bay window. When having a custom pole your curtains will run freely along the entire length of the pole without being obstructed by supporting brackets.

Cord Operated Metal Poles

One of the main advantages is being able to have the metal pole corded operated, making light work of opening and closing the curtains. Cords can be specified to be located on the left, right or both giving a total control over where your curtains are operated from. For instance cord drop lengths can be specified if the pole is located in a position where operating cords may be hard to reach, for example a high landing window, which would require the cords to be at a practical height to open and close the curtains.
