Double Curtain Poles
What are double curtain poles?
They are two lengths of parallel poles that are spaced apart. This helps you to open and close both pairs of curtains independently. The front pole normally has a thicker diameter to support standard or blackout curtains, whilst the back pole is thinner for the lightweight fabric like a voile or a net curtain.
What are they for?
Double curtain poles give you flexibility whilst helping to control the level of privacy and security during day and night. While net curtains stay closed, they prevent interior views from the outside. This can be especially helpful if your windows face a busy street. At night, close the main curtains to get total privacy.
When to choose them?
We recommend using them if:
- You have straight windows.
- You want more versatility with your curtain arrangements.
- You want to add modern touch to your window dressing.
What is the longest double pole length?
We stock a wide range of double poles of up to 480 cm, which is ideal for big windows, patio or bifold doors.
Can they be cut?
Our metal poles can be easily cut with a hacksaw or a fine tooth saw. You will only need to take off the finials.
How many rings do I need?
It depends on the length of a pole. Our sets of 120cm are supplied with 24 rings (12 for each pole), whilst 480cm poles are supplied with 96 rings (48 for each pole).
