How to incorporate dark wood?

3. Choose a vibrant colour to mix with a dark wooden pole and use it around the room. For example, you can match the walnut wood colour with a bright blue. The colour will balance out the deep tones of the wood due to clever colour combinations for a cohesive look.

Making the Most of Your Windows

Design tip - selecting a longer than average curtain pole in dark colouring will add an extra dimension to the window by extending the curtain treatments past the windows. The colours will flow horizontally and vertically away from the actual window opening.

What diameter to choose?

We have a big selection of many diameters from 28mm to 55mm. For a wooden pole, the most common diameter is 35mm. This size makes a wooden pole sturdy enough for standard or most heavy curtains.

The 28mm (1 1/8") diameter is recommended for lightweight and medium-weight curtains. 50mm and 55mm are for extra heavy, long and interlined curtains.
